Little one run, little one

two, little ones free—

and the game is through.

 

All day you played by the

slippery sea, wetting your

toes and rushing to

me.  Splash falls the sun,

and the sea is a shoulder,

edging it out and

pushing it over.

 

Burrow you heads:  my love

is deep.  I would keep you

quite safe—but no one can keep.
